Billing Services

Billing Services let property operators offer paid WiFi services — such as premium tiers, add-ons, or guest access — to residents and collect the fees automatically. They're designed for multi-dwelling-unit operators (student housing, senior living, multifamily) who want to turn connectivity into a revenue stream, with recurring payments, subscription management, and a resident self-service portal, all integrated into Cloud4Wi's MDU WiFi.

Operators invite users to set up a payment method through the portal, and Cloud4Wi then handles recurring monthly charges automatically — no manual invoicing or chasing payments. Charges align with each resident's subscription, and the system keeps billing running in the background so property teams can focus on operations rather than collections.

Residents use a self-service portal to add or update their payment methods and view their invoice history at any time. This gives them transparency and control over their paid services without contacting the property office, and it reduces admin for the operator — the same portal experience where residents manage their WiFi access.

Cloud4Wi automates the subscription lifecycle: plans can be terminated automatically at contract expiration, and operators can optionally apply discounts. This keeps subscriptions accurate without manual upkeep, prevents billing for expired contracts, and aligns paid services with each resident's tenancy — reducing errors and administrative overhead for property teams.

They work together within MDU WiFi. Self-serve onboarding gets each resident onto their own private PPSK network without IT help; Billing Services then lets them subscribe to and pay for premium services in the same portal. PPSK provides the secure, per-resident network foundation, and billing turns it into a monetizable amenity — one connected resident experience.
